I am trying to use the relay on home assistant. So I have worked on putting esphome on ha.

I managed to set it up, and upload the oringal file, then trying to update ota with the file from GitHub (esphome 4 relay) - tried to change the wifi etc. But not sure... As now there are no lights, not even the first status when plugged in.
I have tried - Arduino ide, esphome with wire, on both the server and laptop. Different cables, pressed all the buttons.
Install all manner of drivers from the GitHub and website, wh.ch... nothing is working.
The esp is getting warm, so there is definitely power running through. And I Have seen the led before.... But now nothing. Not even if I just plug straight into USB with no t-u2t.
Any steps or troubleshooting? Im at a loss.
      Please help.

This board needs the needs to be connected to T-U2T [USB to
serial] downloader to program, the USB port is for power and T-U2T hookup only.

Yes, it is plugged into the t_u2t.
It still doesn't have any LEDs anymore - how can I reset it? Have to say the t-u2t is very confusing.. only noticed the button hours in .. still not sure what it does.
Should the status led be on when just connected to power? - mine doesn't.
          Could it be broken?
